Search the hanging shirt in the Changing Room on the left of the motel pool. Take the Grizzly Suite Keycard, then use it at the suite upstairs. The keycard opens the suite; it is not the motel guest keypad number or the shotgun-locker combination.
Find the keycard
Reach the motel pool area, then go left into the Changing Room. Inspect the hanging shirt and collect the keycard. Leave the room and go upstairs to the Grizzly Suite. Use the card on its entrance.
If you are still at the guest-number keypad, you are at an earlier obstacle. Read your own Motel Guest Ledger for that number; the Changing Room card solves a different lock.
What to collect inside
The suite contains the Snub .38 Revolver and nearby ammunition. Continue into the adjoining room and inspect the guitar case. An enemy breaks through the door on the right; defeat it and follow the opened passage.
Collect the Pool Net and read the Welcome Booklet. These are useful for the next two motel puzzles: the booklet explains the room calls used for the shotgun code, while the net retrieves the object needed for the palm-tree door knob.
Choose your next task
- For the shotgun, return to the pool phone and use the booklet to call Room 3.
- For the door knob, take the net to the grate beside the pool, then clean the object you retrieve.
Picking up the keycard does not unlock either reward by itself. Follow the linked guides for those separate steps.
